By: jaXed
A few things of note:

1) Is anybody noticing the slow trickle of various forum listings into their search results? Do you like it? If you have a specific forum you want added, then send us a line.

2) We are thinking about merging the Cars & Trucks (formerly Vehicles) category with the Parts category. It turns out that by adding forum listings into the mix, the line is blurred between "Cars & Trucks" and "Parts." Let us know what you think.

3) Really? Some people think there is some buyout or backroom deal between Craigslist/eBay and jaXed? We can assure you there is nothing of the sort! What a drag to see a bunch of baseless speculation in the comments on the site and Facebook.

4) Lots more changes ahead!

I, among plenty of others, am unhappy about Craigslist's decision.

I like the new things that are coming in...seems to be working well.

For a forum check out the Alfa BB, probably the biggest Alfa Romeo specific site I know of. [Linky to: www.alfabb.com]

For Aprilia motorcycles try this one. [Linky to: www.apriliaforum.com]

I hope that helps

TY! ty for clarifying that. We still believe in U jaXed! There waz a suggestion by some1 in the other posts about move the computers over sea and run CL search from there. Would that work?

this site is great, but please don't merge the car parts with the cars. I would much rather be able to search for parts or cars separately

For what it's worth...
1) Do not mix forums with ad's, in my opinion forums have way too much traffic to be able to weed out any decent for sale items
2)Do not mix parts with cars, the categories are separated on CL for a reason
3)I have checked jaXed a few times and without the CL listings really do not see much point running searches for cars and parts. For the items I look for, primarily project cars, the sellers are not going to pay to list them on Hemmings, Autotrader or even eBay. Unfortunately CL was the only way to go.

I for one do not believe there was some deal with jaXed and CL/eBay, but am very surprised and disappointed how quickly you all backed down. Without the CL listings you guys are really no different than any of the other sites before you and in time will only have a very limited audience. As was pointed out you can Google CL ad's...if you received some legal advice, share it with us so we understand. Perhaps you could work with legal guidance on how to provide CL ad's while staying within the TOU? I would love to see some stats on site traffic before and after the C&D as I am sure you have seen a huge decrease.

Hmmm, a backroom deal between Jaxed & Craig'spissed? I don't think so. Even just a month ago I tried to send Jaxed some money as a "commission" for what Jaxed helped me find. But noooo, he wasn't interested, he just wanted me to tell as many people as I could.

Well, maybe it's true. Jaxed and Craigslist are in collusion, Ford bought and buried the carburetor that makes cars run on water to protect the oil industry, and Elvis is alive in Kalamazoo, MI. Yeah, that's it!

I dont understand what the problem, Jaxed just made using craigslist more user friendly, you are not still none of there business, so what did it hurt....

Seems there needs to be a site which addresses the need for nationwide search capability. Why doesn't jaxed start one?

allofcraigs offers CL listings via a google search. a little awkward, but the data is there. check it out-maybe you could do something similar? or perhaps they are simply ignoring the CL C7D letter, or didn't get one?
which country are you located in?

I understand you've got vacant real estate after the craigslist fiasco, but keeping ebay ads that are 3 months old? come on, no filler please!

I was really disappointed to read about the C&D letter. This website has been an invaluable tool for me and numerous affiliates of mine. There simply was no other better way to search all of these adds, and I am not even going to begin to share my thoughts of other "similar" sites. What a shame that someone else has determined how we should conduct our business as individuals. Local interactions or not don't they realize that for those who post on CL understand there is much more exposure because of sites like this? Simply Disappointing, to put it mildly.

Oh, please do not merge the parts search with the auto search. Thank you for once providing a website that was worth coming back to daily.

I didn't know where else to post this comment, so this thread seemed the closest. Why am I looking at the site and seeing the latest posting dated four days ago? The site used to update the ads every day. What's happening?
