Add another useless site to add to your bookmarks - Blow My Dough. Here, you can enter a dollar amount and then be directed to an eBay or Craigslist page where you can buy an item for the amount you entered. Sure, you live in Seattle and it's showing you a dog house in Miami for $45, but it's a deal! |

Read the title. It's true. I spend too much time maintaining it, browsing it, answering emails for it, dealing with it, worrying about it.
Just thought you'd like to know. |

Oil Filters ... |

Being that it's getting hard to find oil filters for the Corvair in local auto parts stores, I decided to buy a case of Wix off eBay not too long back. After it was all said and done, it cost me about $7.75 per filter, which is pretty good in my opinion. Of course, I might have received a better deal from the vendors, but I'm not 100% sure I'd get the Wix which I wanted to try out. Anyway, here is a link to a case of Wix 51038 oil filters. They were shipped quickly and now I have more filters then I know what to do with. |

And One -/- The Echoing Green in Denver |

No longer the club maven, I look forward to the few live shows that blow through town with extra zeal. Last night was And One with opening guest The Echoing Green. Actually, there was an additional opening act but I got there too late. (Doors at 7pm = WTF ?) Anyway, the show was excellent and I only wish the crowd "got into" The Echoing Green more - but I fear their positive lyrics fell deaf upon the mostly Goth ears in attendance. As for And One - brilliant! Had the crowd moving for sure. While their latest album, Bodypop, isn't my fav - the tracks they played from it were great live. They also played some older stuff so it was all good. Looking toward to their fall US tour. |

Old Chevy Ads (Corvair included) |

Originally posted here: http://www.corvairproject.com/cgi-bin/show.cgi?idx=20080215203816 I happened upon a blog which contains a myriad of Old Chevrolet Ads...
Hi. I am Jim Bernardin and I had a lot to do with with making Chevy magazine and newspaper ads, commercials, catalogs, and sales promotion stuff for 35 years. People like collecting many of the pieces and they are available mostly as tear sheets from old magazines and still existing catalogs. But nobody ever says anything about who did them and why. That is information I will try to provide. I hope it will make owning an old Chevy ad even more fun. There are a few Corvair ads listed. Here is one for titled '64 Trade and Travel Time Promotion. Very cool. |
